AZAV Certification & Bildungsgutschein
My German Dream Academy is part of MGD International Talent GmbH — an AZAV-certified educational provider accredited by Certuria. Our German courses meet the quality standards of the German Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit) and qualify for funding via Bildungsgutschein or AVGS.
What is AZAV?
AZAV stands for the German Accreditation and Authorisation Regulation for Employment Promotion (§§ 176 ff. SGB III). It defines which education providers and training measures are recognised for funding by the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit) and the local Jobcenters. Authorisation is granted after an independent audit by a certified body — in our case, Certuria — which reviews qualifications, curriculum, processes and outcomes.
A current AZAV authorisation is the prerequisite for funding tuition through a Bildungsgutschein (BGS) training voucher or AVGS activation/placement voucher.
What this means for you
- You can apply for a Bildungsgutschein at the Agentur für Arbeit or your local Jobcenter.
- You can redeem an AVGS (activation and placement voucher).
- If your application is approved, course fees are fully covered.
- You receive a recognised completion certificate that strengthens applications and CVs.
- We support you personally throughout the application and enrolment process.

How to apply for funding
- Consultation. Schedule an appointment with your local Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter and discuss your training goal.
- Voucher issued. If approved, you receive a Bildungsgutschein or AVGS specifying the goal, region and validity period.
- Contact MGD Academy. Send us the voucher — we'll handle enrolment and issue the required confirmation.
- Attend the course. We document your progress according to AZAV requirements.
- Completion & certificate. You receive an official completion certificate plus, if applicable, the relevant language certificate (e.g. telc).
Frequently asked questions
How long does Bildungsgutschein approval take?
Processing typically takes 2 – 4 weeks, depending on the workload of the respective Agentur für Arbeit. We recommend applying well before your intended course start date.
Can I attend the courses without funding?
Yes — all courses are open to self-paying students as well as funded applicants. Pricing and conditions are listed on each course page.
Which other funding sources do you accept?
In addition to Bildungsgutschein and AVGS we accept funding from employers, social services and foundations. Talk to us — we provide the supporting documentation you need.
Are online courses also eligible?
Yes. Our online courses follow the same AZAV-certified curriculum as our in-person courses and qualify for Bildungsgutschein or AVGS funding.
Who is Certuria?
Certuria Cert + Audit GmbH is an audit body accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) that audits and certifies education providers and training measures under AZAV.
